Flash animation

To make an object move/change shape or a combination of both in an animation keyframes and tweening are the key tools. Instead of drawing frame after frame you can just create minimum two keyframes and draw where you want the object to end up at the end of your animation and tweening makes the path of an object automatically from first frame to the end where the object has to end up. The same exact thing with shapes and a combination of those two.

Web Page Review

Name of person you reviewed:

Marcus Davila

What was the goal of the website?:

The goal of his website was to present the whereabouts of the Scholastic company.

What design principles and concepts did they use?:

There’s definitely a sense of unity in this website, the colors and fonts are all the same, you know instantly that the topic of the website is still the same. He also used emphasis to make certain things stand out for example the name of the charity on the “home page”. He also used a black colored font which made the paragraphs on each page stand out from the rest and you can easily notice and read them to find out what the charity is all about.

What design principles and concepts could they have used?

I think the colors he picked for the website background do not go well together, they create a sort of “confusion” to the eyes. The website is too bright, he should’ve checked the color wheel for adjacent colors and his website would’ve definitely looked better, but that’s only my opinion.

Did all the pages work correctly?:

Yes all the pages have worked correctly, no mistakes in links.

Did the web site have “good workflow” (links back and forth, consistency, etc)? How did they accomplish this?

This website had somewhat good workflow, the links do all work but as you read some sentences do not make any sense whatsoever, a lot of sentences are not capital which makes the website look very “unprofessional” and unclean looking.

If not, what could they have done to create a good workflow?

Edit the stuff he wrote before posting it, beginning of sentences capital, make the sentences correct.

What were the web site strengths?:

- All pages create a sense of unity

- All links working back and forth

- Use of some web design concepts and principles

What were the web site weaknesses?:

- Bad choice of colors for the website

- Paragraphs and countless mistakes made it look very unclean

- The website is very confusing

Extra credit: I just picked his website randomly from the list even though I know this person.
